• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Your thoughts on using the hitch as a tie down??

Thoughts on using trailer hitch on RT for straps just to keep rear from moving instead of strapping thru wheel, thanks, heading to florida in a week.

I would not trust the hitch on a Spyder for a tie point. Best is to strap around the wheels, like the car haulers.

The hitch is directly attached to the axle and using it to tight down the bike would be the same as tying down the tire, I would use it!!!

I use a soft tie around the passenger floorboards, then of course add regular tie downs. They are sturdy and pull it down and forward into the chocks.

That's how I always tie the rear of mine down...I have two stainless steel Clevis's I attach to the safety chain eyes on the hitch and run my 2" strap thru them...larryd
