• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You might think I'm crazy but...

.... I think I know another reason why the Spyder might feel a little squirrelynojoke

I had to run to town to get some brake fluid and seeing my Spyder was all apart again I decided to take Ron's Spyder. :doorag:

I live in the twisties pretty much and I noticed I was all over the road for some reason. I thought there was something wrong with his power steering again but that felt fine. Then I realized what it was. Are you ready?

It was the seat. No joke, the stock seat is like sitting on a basketball compared to my Corbin. All the way there and all the way back I noticed that every little crown in the road or turn that came up I found myself rolling around on the seat and that was causing me to put extra input to the bars. I haven't been on a stock seat in about a year and I could really tell a difference. I'm sure I could get use to it again if I had to but there's a huge difference when you sit on a seat and in a seat.

Other than that his Spyder is running great but we're going to see if we can make it run a little better with a Juicebox and air filter. :doorag:

Oh and I love my new helmet. I can honestly say that it feels like I'm not even wearing one. This was the best 100 bucks I've spent in a long time.

Which $100 helmet are you talking about? The Shark? I thought they cost a little more than that.

That's what HDX says - like riding on a basketball. I gotta save up for that new BRP seat. Roaddog has it and I sat on it - what a difference.:D

Could your sway bar have had anything to do with the difference in addition to the seat?:dontknow:

Original BRP seat

I have said since I bought the Spyder that it feels like you are balancing on a ball, glad to hear someone agree with me, have the shocks jacked up and the heavy duty torsion bar, it's the seat and it has to go. I tried the new BRP seat and it feels great in the front, but I always ride 2 up and the back is uncomfortable because the very rear edge of the seat pan is not padded and it cuts into you, I predict that the vinyl will wear through quickly, even if you are not sitting on the edge because the pressure on the vinyl from the passenger will make it wear through.:chat:
