• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You Don't Know What You've Got Till It's Gone

Lamont just sent me this picture. He was all the time taking pictures when we rode. I don't think I ever did. Now I'm sorry because he's holding the camera instead of being in the picture himself.

The M109R (The Beast) is my all time favorite 2-Wheeled machine. You can see Lamont's own custom painted, nitrous boosted, M109R with his Bushtec trailer. This is the rig that he turned 152+ MPH with.

We had so many good (and a few bad) miles together over the years. It never occurs that someday, it might go away.

Lamont is a great guy. And I had the privilege to be along for the ride. They can't take that away from us. I might not have appreciated it then... But I do now.

cool!!! What year, didn't include that? Those are some mean bikes!!! I can tell its a younger Ron, went to the first Spyder get together in March 23, you didn't look quite that young!!!!!!! Were you doing "Baja" back then? The Tail of Dragon store wasn't there yet, only parking lot!!

I don't know. I'm thinking late 2006 or sometime in 2007. Just before we went with Can-Am Spyders. Lamont got his in December of 2007. I got mine in January of 2008. Man! We both loved our M109R's. It took a lot to get us off of them.

Yes, I must admit that I've aged a little since then. Haven't we all.

I'm making plans to attend Spyders in the Ozarks in September. Maybe put a few miles in with Lamont again.

Spyder's in the Ozarks in September 2025? Where do I find information?

I'm registered for the Appalachian Fall 2025 event in Kodak, TN at the end of September, and the Maggie Valley Spyder Adventures the first week of October.
