There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Need any help or info I can get on installing the xm satellite radio on a 2014 RTL . Like where does the module mount and where does it connect to the harness ?

Looks like the whole back rest section will have to come off just to put the harness on . A little confused about the module , instructions read it mounts next to the battery ? Maybe a misprint..

Since the instructions are for all RTs'. Older models have the battery in the rear left side.

I installed one on a 2015 RTS, the xm module mounts on the left side behind the saddlebag. There is a pre-drilled plate there that leaves it in the wind to cool it. Good luck!

A MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE OPTION !!!!!

Did you have to run the harness also ?
I don't think Bob Denman saw your Thread on this, but I would PM Him and ask about the XM system He put in His RT. He likes it a lot and I doubt it cost anywhere near what the BRP one cost.......... Mike

I think that was changed with the '14 or '15 model year so you don't have to take the back section off. That actually is not an overly hard job to do, but it is more than just a couple of hours!

Have the harness and radio . My husband is going to try and install them for a friend ..just trying to gather as much info as possible.
