• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

XM and bluetooth

I just installed the BRP XM radio kit on my 2012 RT ltd. To do so I needed to take off the cable I got from Motorcycle dave for the sena dongle. Does anyone know how or where I can tap into the radio or entertainment harness to feed power and signal to the sena dongle so I can have audio to my bluetooth headsets?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Send a PM to Finless. He designed the harness but Dave sells them. I'm not sure but he may have used a connector that should fit the entertainment harness the same as did in the radio. I know you can have CB or you can have BT, but not both. So the BT dongle harness should fit into the entertainment harness where the CB would connect into it.

xm and bluetooth

I have tried to contact Finless several times, but have not heard back from him. It might be that he is very busy, not checking email or some other reason.

I think I figured out your problem. The harness you got from Dave plugs directly into the radio, right? Take a look at these installation instructions for the BRP dongle. http://instructions.brp.com/content...ion-details.html#articleNo=kA0a0000000oSKFCA2 Note part # P3 in the parts list. The BRP dongle harness plugs into the entertainment harness, which you now have. The P3 harness plugs into the radio for those who don't have the ent harness. What you need is the P2 harness which is not available separately from BRP. Your best bet right now is to see if Dave has that harness available. Or post a message in the buy/sell forum to see if anyone has one from a dongle they have that maybe crapped out. In the end though, I think you'll have to pull the pins out of the squarish connector on the harness you have and install them into a connector that will fit into the entertainment harness. Finless can help you out with that process. I have no idea right off what the pinout configuration is for the connector. I think Bob probably does.

Maybe he's just busy right now as he is usually on here a fair bit.

You tried to contact me? How?
I was out of town last week on vacation.

Anyway, yes you need a different cable for use with the ENT harness. It has a different connector.
We can do this one of 2 ways.
1) Send me your cable and I will convert it.
2) Contact Dave to get a new one. He is out of stock right now as there has been no demand for them. I can get one made for him for you.

Bob
