• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

we took a little ride today. ran great came to a stop light , went to take of, now in
neutral and the r and n lights are flashing. orange rectangle in the display and sometimes
the motor icon. buck, spit and fart around. barely made it to a gas station, thinking
gauge is fubarred. 3.9 gal, 180 miles. yay! start up, and the whole routine starts over.
finally got a gear and started for home. worst 17 miles of my bike career. the last five miles ran fine.
dealer gets a call in the morning. 260 miles on it and this. 4 different bikes over the years
and zero probs on them. any ideas? im going nighty night. at least we didnt have to walk,
and or see our friends watch our new machine on a friends rollback. thanks for listening-

oh, forgot . the letter E kept coming up.. and no hard stops were involved. great feeling going up a hill in town in traffic and it keeps going into neutral.
p s--its not murphys law, its irvies law.

That is a gear position sensor error. It can happen if you come to a really quick stop and the computer has to catch up or it can be a problem with the sensor. If it happens again under normal stopping circumstances then take it to the dealer.

Since you have a 2015 RT, this could apply to you. Check with the dealer.

Same thing happened to mine at around 800 mi. Took it to the dealer and they said it was the GPS. Part was backordered and it took 3 weeks to get my Spyder back. 3 weeks to get a part they know is failing! Contacted BRP and they informed me that it had been replaced before I bought it. Replacement parts are failing too. I'll bet they never shut down the assembly line for lack of these parts. Profit over customer service?

You're the second person that I know, who suffered a second failure. nojoke
They seem to either work fine, or they fail quickly! :dontknow:

Joyce47, did you make the 45 miles to the dealer safely? I hope so. Good luck.

Is there a listing of the Vin numbers that are affected? I have a 2015 RT Limited with 1,800 miles and no issues yet. So would I be safe to assume I dodged the bullet on this one?

took me 1-1/2 hrs to go 42 miles. lots of neutral, banging gears, starting in 5th
or 6th, and all sorts of neat stuff. i found out you could squeal the back tire
just by shifting. i told them they could keep the f-----g piece of crap. and asked
if it happens twice am i eligible for the lemon law. cant pick it up tonite.
season finale of NCIS.;)

your dealer can run your vin for you to see if you are affected. mine wasnt on it
when delivered but is now. imagine that !!!???

Tonight is Dinozzo's last episode...:popcorn:
