We noticed that a lot of 2013 Rt are available. With all the recalls & updates that have been done are they a good buy? Are they safe?
What do you think.

I have riding the street since 1978, motocross for years before that. Every motorcycle has a heat issue. Lets face, you got an engine between your legs. Come on now. Our last ride was a Triumph Rocket III. Arthritis got to bad to hold that behemoth up push it backwards and all. Now that was like sitting on a coal stove. You did not want to be static for more than 10 seconds or so.
We have had our 13 RT for about a year now. Far much less heat than the Rocket. In fact, I didn't even know there was a "heat problem" until I started seeing it mentioned here. We live in Pennsylvania with summer time temps in the 90's and humidity in the 90 percent range most of the time. We also pull a trailer with it. We have zero problems with the machine. We had 2 recalls, one for better sealed fused box cover and one for a heat shield on the brake line. That is it. Both were handled very promptly and professionally.
This coming weekend we will be able to Sew on our 15K patches (thanks Ken) and I have to say that we have had nothing but joy from our RTL. We have met great folks, been to some awesome places ,and have found a new appreciation for places we have been too countless times before. So if I found a Great buy from a dealer I trusted, I would buy another 2013.
