I agree.

I reposition my but to the inside of the turn and then lean. This makes it a bit more difficult to brake if you are not careful to keep your foot planted but it makes the turns so much nicer, and quicker. :2thumbs:

I always enjoyed hanging off the bike in the turns. Nobody can tell me these things are not interactived!

the best advice is ... practice , practice , practice ...

I raced ATV's for many years and the :spyder2: is a street-legal ATV to me ... i think alot of owners tend to "Drive" the :spyder2: rather than "Ride" it ... the :spyder2: gives the rider alot of lateral force that most are not used to and that seems to un-settle some nerves at first . you have to ride within your capabilities and those will increase as you get more experience on your :spyder2:

1 thing that helps alot is look forward into the turn if you are pulling out and nanny is not kicking look further ahead and drive to that point. That helps keep you leaned in and smooths out your turn. If you start cutting curves too tight then you are looking too far ahead. This is only true if you are not currently over driving, but if you were the nanny should be letting you know.

Try to aim for a down shift that's puts you around 7000 when you straighten from the apex, full throttle up shift at redline and your at the mercy of your tiress

Setup a 25-35 mph corner in a empty parking lot in the pouring rain it's a pretty safe way to play get used to the dynamics and the VSS.

Like Doc is saying your going to have to learn to in essence use your throttle to negotiate turns/curves at higher speeds downshift in depending on entrance speed 3/2 then at apex of curve accelerate out hard sorta like drifters do but nanny won't let us drift....Keep practicing and gain confidence you'll find it will become second nature in time...:thumbup:...

Another good tip is to attack the corners from the outside to the inside and then outside again. This will actually help you "straighten out" some of the longer sweeping turns. If you start near the white line at the beginning of the turn, get near the yellow at the apex, then roll back to the outside on the way off the curve you should have a smooth ryde.

One thing to keep in mind is look through the corner to where you want to be as well, and not close to the front of the machine or where you are currently going.

this is great advise, get better shocks, set them up right below full race, get a sway bar and run ER 90. I tell people that ask how it handles that is similar to doing open heart surgery with a chainsaw, you have to make it go into the corner.

Get a ISCI handbrake too, wayy easier to use body english to corner then. I can do double the posted at least with my setup but you have to accept that you could die proving this point so you have have more to live for in your riding.

It is, to make sure you understand, a engine with some tires on it so even a 10 mph fluke accident could kill you, or worse so I hope you accept this if you are looking to huligan it up. "ride your own bike"
