Took the day off from work today because it was supposed to be sunny, and it was. Sunny and 45 degrees. Got the tools out and proceeded to install my new BajaRon sway bar. Complete piece of cake, except for getting the RT high enough. :yes::yes: Used a lot of stacked wood, but finally got it. Real scary, though!! ray:


Next up - oil change!!

It's getting easier to work on this thing. Might have to try the rear wheel after the oil and filter!!

Congratulations! You got the bar installed and didn’t kill yourself so it was a job well done. It is scary if you don’t have the proper equipment to lift it, when we did my 14 RT it reminded me of trying to work over your head while standing on the top rung of a step ladder. :yikes: Now we have good jack stands and it is easy as pie.

Good job. Its all in the aditude. If you think about it to long it won't get done. I use some 2×8's that are flush on one end and beveled on the other and back or pull the RT up on depending on what I'm working on. 4 boards nailed together gets it off the ground 6 inches. But you need 3 sets of them 1 for each tire. Then if you need to use a jack for anything you can get under the bike with no problem. Happy trails

The instructions said to lift the Spyder 20 to 24 inches - seemed like it was 4 feet off the ground!! :shocked: :yikes: Also put on Doc's belt tensioner. What a difference it makes!! Ride is sooooo smooth now.

Thanks to all who have posted here, about all of the ways to improve the Spyder. I can't imagine trying to do some of the things I have done (so far!!) without looking to see how someone else had done it. Keep up the great work everyone!! :clap: Ain't this website great??
