• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

wonder who i upset now.

Hang in there...

Your doing a great job of monitoring yourself..:roflblack: don't think you need help.....

cuznjohn,

You mean that I missed something. I'm always looking for family unfriendly postings. Should I post another tool belt picture here?

Cuz.. can you send me that one? I started watching it and a client called me. By the time I remembered to check it out again, poof.. gone.

Keep them coming

i have been very careful lately with what i post. i don't want to get another warning. and the stupid farmers joke i posted was not dirty at all, or at least i didn't think it was. but someone must of thought so. the post was pulled. so whoever got upset let me first say I AM SORRY if it upset you. AND THEN LET ME SAY, IT WASN'T DIRTY, SO PLEASE AVOID MY POSTS. i learned my lesson, and don't post really off color stuff anymore

You mean I missed another one? I guess we have the same sense of humor, as I like most of your jokes. As for the ones I don't, I just move on.

i always refer to this bumper sticker i have had for 30 years:
fight indecent exposure
cover your nuts at
al's hubcaps.

i have never had any young kids think it was dirty only a very few adults so the only thing i can conclude is that those with a
dirty mind are at fault. why do so many people try to read between the lines instead of just read?

Don't let it get you down, Cuz'n. Most of us aren't "politically correct".

HIJACK!!!!!!

Now for this politically incorrect subject.........

I just latched onto a Lefever Nitro Special, #2 and #4 chokes, 1937 year of manufacture per the serial number, that has basically seen very little use. Locks up like it was brand new. The left barrel still has the original bluing mostly intact. The right barrel has some rust which the previous owner decided to try removing with sandpaper. (STUPID) I think a bit of gentle buffing with 0000 steel wool and gun oil to remove the sanding marks and some cold blue to touch up might be appropriate. any ideas?

Please note that since firearm ownership is viewed as naughty by many of the politically liberal persuasion, I posted this here in an attempt to hide and let Cuz'nJon get blamed...

yesterday for the second time i had something removed from my tongue. the oral surgeon is a female doctor and she said it is some sort of ulcer tissue. the first test 3 weeks ago showed that in the results, but for some reason it came back in 3 weeks bigger than it was the first time. so this time she cut it off again and also used a laser on it to crater it out hoping it doesn't grow back.

she wants me to send her a picture of it in two weeks to see what it looks like. now the joke i posted here was nothing bad. MY QUESTION IS, if i send this picture to a female doctor, COULD I BE ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT

I've had real good luck on barrels with a wire wheel. Then use Brownell's Oxpho-Blue cold bluing. Apply with a cloth then reapply with 0000 steel wool. The finish should blend real well.

I think the wire wheel portion has been done already. I have some Birchwood/Casey Super Blue that I used to blue a white barrel on a pistol I built. Worked real well.

Trying to figger out how to rinse the bluing from a 28" barrel. Can't dunk it in a bucket. I'm thinking to cap a 36" length of 4" PVC pipe and saw it in half lengthwise. Should work on most any common length of shotgun or rifle barrel.
