• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wish me luck !!

After: 6 months of lectures:gaah:, one Saturday practical that included six separate skills assessments:yikes:, and 2 dozen hours spent taking practice exams:banghead:, the end is finally in sight:thumbup:. Tomorrow night I will be ryding out to Schenectady, NY and taking the EMT-B exam given by the state of NY. If all goes as planned, by this time tomorrow I should be on my way home after I have received my passing score:ohyea:. Will post as soon as I get home.

Just sayin'............

Here's to a uneventful testing session. You've practiced the skills now just apply them. I'm sure you'll do well and welcome to the medical fraternity:yes::yes::clap::clap::clap::ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

Does this mean that I can have heart attack when we finally meet? :roflblack:
Seriously; we're all waiting to hear the good news!!!

Test

Went thru the school and testing many , many years ago and wasn't fun then and bet it hasn't changed. Loved the wording on some of the questions and the possibility that 3 of 4 answers are "partially " correct but only one is totally correct. Good luck , don't try to outguess . After passing my written I had to spend time in the local ER and after a night of taking blood pressures we got a call to head for the delivery room. Thought we were just going to watch but the doc said we couldn't learn that way and I got to deliver my first baby and it was a LOT different than the training vids. Talk about a high.

Wishing you the best of luck on the exam. The advice on test taking is good--since I do this to my students all the time. Read the whole question carefully. Most answers are partially right, but one word or statement negates it. You get the idea, I'm sure.:thumbup:

Things have changed a lot since I became an EMT in 1975. I was nationally certified in 1982, in England! Think through the questions on the written. Try not to get nervous on the practical. You can do it.

Good luck and if you have to guess on multi choice answer just pick the letter C.

It worked on me in the past.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:.

Remember; when you reattach the head................................the eyes go towards the front. :roflblack: Sorry! Couldn't resist that one. Sounds like you've busted your hump studying and getting ready...................best wishes on your exam! Knock it out, Bro!
