I was looking for a way to open the FRUNK with just the key "on". I jumped the #8 & #5 wires on the plug for the Parking Brake/ Frunk switch, the cut the previous power supply for #5. Strictly a convenience issue, so I can now just turn the key, and open the frunk and load up while waiting on the computer to boot....

Not sure what year the change happened, 2010 or 2011. The front trunk can be opened with the key on. Just press down and turn. Even if your 2010 can't do that. Why not just open it with the key before turning it on.

Because it is a switch that is supposed to work, and it didn't.

I could not open it electrically or mechanically once the bike was running.
