• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wireing issue help needed

I installed LED driving lights and I am having a issue with them not working. I tested the lights so they do work, Do I have to run a separate ground from the lights and switch, I ran both to the same ground wire Help. thanks

1 WAY

LED LITES (some) ONLY WORK IN ONE WAY.....
YOU NEED TO MAKE CERTAIN THE + GOES TO +, AND - NEGATIVE TO - NEGATIVE....
IF YOU FLIP-FLOP THE WIRES, THEY DON'T WORK...
HOW DO I KNOW.... duh, it's happened to me... luckily you won't burn them out if you cross-wire them... just change the two wires from one side of your connection to the other....
GOOD LUCK & HOPE THIS HELPED....

PS; i am by far the WORSE electrician on the planet, so hopefully if i'm wrong somebody will correct me........

LED lights can be fussy about how the positive and negative wires are attached..
Try reversing your leads, and see if that lights them up!

Fussy

Okay I separate the switch ground wires and the light grounds wire , retested the lights they work. I have power and a good ground from the switch. Now I may have to find another place to ground the lights. ill tackle that tomorrow.

up early

questions. is it possible to use the keyed power from the fuel gauge to run a set of driving lights...

Yes or no

You got me more confused then when I started this . just kidding .can I use any wires coming out of the plug to power the my lights including the ground......I have tried several times to run a wire up to the battery and cant get through, I don't want to drill holes in the frunk so there must be another source of power. thanks:banghead:
