Well it's getting cooler in good old Connecticut. Which means winter. Now I know a battery tender and fuel stabilizer is a must. But what else should I do when I plan on putting her away. 13 rss if that matters.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No just kidding. Your ok with what your doing. I run a fuel additive with 97% of my fill ups so im set in that categorie. I started othat comesly last winter. This year got a pact ride once a month through spring whenever that Comes.

In my area it gets to -25 at night and 0 during the day
I still ride if chains are not required

I top off the tank, add stabil to the gas tank, put it on the battery tender and park it until start up time.
My :spyder2:'s are housed in a heated garage.
Also recommended by some experts is to NOT start it up at intervals. The :ani29: needs about a half hour of operating loads to get it fully warmed up. If you are not going to drive it, probably best to let her sleep.
Mine always start the first time--even though they have been sleeping for 6 months.

It doesn't hurt ot pump your tires up, and if they're sitting on concrete; put something underneath them. (I use cardboard, and chunks of carpeting. You should also plug up the exhaust... it'll keep mice from thinking that they've found a new luxury condo. Some tinfoil, and a couple of rubber bands can usually be made to work.
Then; it's time to fire up your "C'mon... Early Springtime!" Dance...

I also use dryer sheets on the spyder and also my motor home to help with the mice. Frigin neighbors cat got run over he's no help anymore:roflblack::roflblack:

I would add to list, D-CON mice control, 1 box under the front and another at the back wheel. I also use a 2 inch deep pan with a little ramp near the Spyder with RV antifreeze in it so the water in the antifreeze turn to ice in the cold winter nights and it makes it easy to find the dead mice. That's IMHO.

Good point about covering the exhaust against mice. Use to get in our Jetskis through the exhaust years ago. Amazing how much food they can pack in an exhaust system :roflblack:

We get slammed here with snow. Not sure what your average snowfall Is in TN but we get a butt load, or we will get a dusting
