• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Winter project finished! What to do the remainder of the winter?

Load a bunch of brass I have laying around?
Play with the 10/22 I just bought?
Go kayak shopping and get it set up for fishing?
Practice my fly casting?
Replace the paddle shifter assembly on the Spyder?

What a dilemma!

What to do with the rest of the Winter??

How about burning as much black powder through that front-stuffer as you can!
What caliber is it?

I've got a T/C Scout Pistol, in .54 caliber.
(HHI #5)

But it sure isn't as nice-looking as yours!

It's just a wee bitty .50 caliber.

I LOVE the shape of the grip on yours! :2thumbs:
It looks really comfy!

Mine IS a ton of fun! When I throw 120 grains of Pyrodex down the tube, and stuff a Mini-Ball of about 430 grains in front of it; all sorts of Hell breaks loose when the hammer falls!:yes::yes:

120 grains?? 400 grains?? HOLY MOLEY!

I use only 85gr of fffg in my .50 rifle with a round ball, about 180gr. I am planning to start with about 50gr of fffg in the pistol.

I actually had a considerable amount of fun building it. Learned a lot to put toward the next one. I have 3 grandsons and plan to build one for each of them for their 16th birthday. Each one will have more wood carving than this one, and each one will be carved differently.

Also have one of these in .44 caliber and use only 25-28gr of fffg.

:D We like lots of sound, fury, and fire; when things get interesting!
I load it with the same load that I throw in the Hawken...
Your Grandsons will have a real treasure, when you're done!
We're going to have to see them, when you're done! :2thumbs:

In addition to the pistol, I made a "presenttion chest". This is a sample of what each grandson will recieve from his PopPop on their 16th birthday.
