• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Windshields?

Hi all. I have a question about the windshield for the 2013 RT. It comes with one that has two holes in the bottom of the shield in front of the bracket, like this:

I'm pretty happy with the one I have now, but it's about to get really hot where I live and I'm wondering if switching to the vented windshield would be a notable improvement over the one pictured above. This is the vented one I'm talking about:

So, can anyone give me any input on their experiences using both, and if it's worth the nearly $400 investment? Thanks!

The biggest improvement with the vented one is less wind buffeting on your helmet. You don't really feel the wind through the vent slots, it comes through but not like a blast. A better idea would be to add the moveable wind deflectors just below the mirrors.

:agree: Those two little vent windows do a real nice job of reducing buffeting!
And the adjustable lower air deflectors; a GREAT job of bringing some airflow back onto the rider! :2thumbs:

Vented shield.....

Here are a couple of shots of vented shields provided by happy customers. The adjustable vent is a real plus for helping to eliminate buffeting, especially on the Plus 3 which is 3" taller and 5" wider. If you want a vented or tinted shield, let your fingers do the walking, call F4 Customs!

Just got mine (wide sport with vent) yesterday. You guys ship fast since I ordered it on Monday. Have not mounted it yet due to the Spyder being apart for other farkles that are being added. The sheild looks fantastic and I am looking forward to my first ride with it.
