As an aside, and I’m not suggesting this on a Spyder, but when I used to do some low-level flying bugs in Nebraska are almost like a hail storm but without the damage. An old pilot taught me a trick. Spray the prop, spinner, front cowling, and leading edges of the wings with Pam. Once you get down you just wipe everything off with paper towels. Worked great. I have also used it on cars while traveling during bug season.
