There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Wind shield question

THIS WINDSHIELD

http://www.baggershield.com/baggershield-canamrs-14-to-20-adjustable-p-40.html

Does anyone have the baggershield? I really like the concept. Just curious if anyone has any info with regard to quality! Thanks in advance. :chat:

Here's a link if you want to see
My question would be ? ? ? ....Does this work on ANY spyder Windshield or just the one shown ? ? ?.....because the one shown is not STOCK !!!!!!! :sour:....Mike.....PS I am sure the Bagger is the add-on piece only.

Hmmm, this may be something to look into, specifically for us RS riders. Though the wind and I have a strained relationship I struggle with giving up the sporty look for a tall windshield. This seems to be a good alternative if it checks out of course.

This shield comes as a set it the smoke 14 inch shield that is adjustable to 20 inch with the clear section.

here are the specs

Specs
Height- Adjustable from 14” to 20”
3/16" Thick
Bottom Color- Dark Smoke
Top Color- Clear
Patent Pending

I have one of these on my 2010 Vulcan Voyager. I used it for about 1200 miles riding the Black Hills of SD last summer. I have to say the quality is fine. I am used to having a tall windshield so with the clear part down there was too much wind for me. The clear part on mine has three thumb screws with expanding rubber "thingies" that fit in holes on the tinted part. Loosen thumb screws pull off clear part of shield, put shield in up or down position, push rubber things through holes, tighten thumb screws. I only use this for extremely hot weather. For the rest of riding season I use a Clearview Shield with a vent. Hope this helps.

Well I ordered this windshield tonight. I will see how it works. I just really liked the concept of this one. I will let you all know my thought once it arrives!

Great, please let us know how it works. I am still curious to find out if it comes with a tinted/smoked bottom and the clear tip or do you have to drill holes in the stock windshield because the windshield on there site is not the same size as stock for the rs. It is taller. :dontknow:

okay, I see now. It is a different lower shield. Still, if it works the price is pretty good.

Did you get it delivered yet?

Just curious if you got the new windshield yet? I can hardly wait to hear/ read your review of the product.

According to the tracking number it should be at my front step by the time the 5 O'clock whistle blows for me to come home from work. I cant wait to see it. I love the idea of keeping the sporty look while on short trips but the ability to raise it while on longer treks. I will post a picture as soon as its on. Just hope the thunder storms and High winds move out so I can give it a whirl tomorrow.

So it finally arrived. Just installed it and first view is it is of excellent quality. I think it looked even better on than I imagined. The intstall was very easy! The upper section when flipped around has a nice lip to it to help divert the wind. I will try to ride it later probably tomorrow as it has turned pretty cold out. Well at least for our standards at 39 degrees! Burrrrrr!! I attached a few pictures of both settings. The quick attach makes it a breeze to switch back and forth it took like 10 seconds. The shield seems to be amazingly sturdy the rubber well nuts work great for securing the shields together.

Thanks for the update. It does look good. I guess the real test will be in the wind. I have to get one of these soon. If they work well, I think it is a must have for an RS driver who still wants to keep the sporty look.

To late..!!

Wish I had seen this earlier.. Ordered a MSR screen from Twisted Throttle. It is a German product. Although I have to say it works very well. Has 6 positions for wind deflection and keeps the sport look. Like to hear how your works..

You have nothing to be upset about. Yours looks good too. Twisted throttle shows the one you have as out of stock. The one spyder601 may be taller even though yours has multiple settings. I think both of you win. The only looser is me until I can get one. nojoke

Bagger Shield

I have the bagger shield on my 09 GS. I like it much better than stock, but not the end all be all. The wife and I usually ride with full face helmets, and it is fine and you can maintain the sporty look. Last weekend with 1/2 helmets, it was a bit windy unless crouched over. It did deflect air over my wife's head in the passenger seat.

How tall are you?
