• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Will FOBO 2 sensors Fit Canyon Rims?

Since it was finally nice weather on Easter weekend, I decided to take my new Canyon on it's first 200 mile trip to my parents. However, about an hour on the road I found I was having zero acceleration in 6th. I pulled over to check things, but nothing seemed wrong. Got back on the road and everything seemed fine. Well, long story short, I got a nail in the rear tire that was initially leaking badly, but then sealed up until the nail got thrown out and then I lost all pressure. Lesson learned, I never thought to check the tire! I guess a rookie move on my part, been spoiled by having Car TPMS for many years now. Good news, the tire plugged pretty easily.

All that to say, do the FOBO 2 TPMS caps work with the Canyon rims? I was going to get them for my '23 F3S, but way the stems angled to the rim didn't leave enough clearance the way the FOBO fitting guide explained. The Canyon rims look like they may have more room, but I don't have an F3S to compare.
 
I have FOBO 2 caps that I transferred from my 2019 F3S > 2022 RT S2S. Never had any fitment issues on my OEM rims or PPA's.

I'm not sure about the RT or Pre 2020+ F3S, but the valve stems on my old '23 F3S front wheels were too short. You have to deflect them to get a PSI gauge or air chuck on them.

The valve stems on my 2022 OEM wheels are also quite stubby. You can see so on the pix with valve cap removed. Hmmm

Your RT stems come out of the rim pretty straight while still being short, where on my old F3 they came out at an angle and being stubby, the cap would rub/lay on the rim. Now the Canyon's stems look to not be as angled as my Spyder's, so they may work.

I found an image. 2023 F3S OEM wheels had the stems lay in a cutout. The Canyon's aren't this bad.

In my experience, I've found that it doesn't really bother those sensors too much at all if they are on a short stem, a long stem, a flexible stem, or a rigid stem, even if they do happen to be fitted so that they are touching something besides the stem ALL of the time (like the rim) &/or even if they occasionally get lightly flicked/touched by a twig or mud/a stone as the wheel rolls past! But if there's a valve stem that they can screw reasonably firmly on to so that they're not flapping around in the breeze &/or getting banged up hard against some road/trackside debris every once in a while, they tend just work fairly well all the time. ;)

However, they do tend to be much more bothered and likely to 'not read properly' occasionally &/or fail more often if they are on a stem that projects far enough that it allows them to move around all the time, and especially if that lets them tap on something with every wheel rotation! They really don't like that... :cautious:
