• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Wife's first ryde

After having our spyder for 6 days, I was finally able to take the wife for her first ryde today. With a 2yr old and a 1yr old it was hard for her to get the time go. She was totally blown away by it. :yes:Now she is like me, she can't get enough. I will try to attach pix, but I am not exactly computer literate. Proof that we are from ky, she is barefoot. She did put her shoes on for the ryde.

we have the same problem here. My wife is always looking for a babysitter so we can ride togeather. She has even went as far as telling me that in a year or two she wants me to find her a used SE5.

:2thumbs: Wife said she wouldn't ryde; after 1st ryde = loves it. We ryde all the time now. :yes:

All these wives need their own spyders. Trust me, it is so fun for us to ride together, yet separate, we each have our own. We do the mods that make each of us happy and it has become our hobby and sometimes it feels like an obsession. These spyders are a great couples activity. I hope everyone enjoys, weather they ride their own or on the back. Have fun!!

Too much fun!

Man,

You guys are having too much fun.:thumbup: Great pics.

I told my wife that I was getting a SpYder, She replied, "You would pay that much for a motorcycle?" I said for a :spyder:...Yep! She hasn't mentioned it since. And I just keep saving............:2thumbs:Wait'll she sees that BadBoy sitting in the middle of that circle drive.:yikes:

I can't wait till '09.:spyder::pray:

...and Rockferg, I say this with the utmost respect. That's the way all wives should be, "barefoot and on a SpYder":b2b::2thumbs:

I hope my wife and I will be like all of the H&W teams I've met on this site.

I like that H&W teams. There are a lot of us here aren't there. What a great testimony to the togetherness promoted by a "toy". I am sure witha great attitude like yours, you and your wife will also be a "spyder team"

Thanks dltang,

You inspire! I really appreciate and enjoy the posts you make. The video comparisons ROCK.:2thumbs: And your:spyder:is one of the most memorable and recognizable I've seen.:b2b:

I would like to see some details of the front and sides, if you have them:popcorn:. I plan to custom paint also:thumbup:. I'm trying to plan it during the reception, caus I don't plan to be without it after its here.

My wife has always been one to be "different" than everyone else. She is going to eat this :spyder:up!

Your wife needs to get her own license. That way she can go ryding and you can babysit. Hey, turnabout is fair play. Seriously, she'd love it. After years of being a "rider" it sure is great to be a "driver".

No more babies at our age. Kids are grown and gone and we have more play time. The Spyder is my wife's, and she loves it. First time for riding alone for her and she's eating it up. I applaude any machine that can take entice a woman of her age (or any other) into doing something she never even dreamed of. It is a special treat to ride together, but separately. Makes me smile every time I see her in my mirrors. Harder to watch her taillight fading in the distance, though. :)

Yep, she needs her own

We used to ride 2-up, then my Hubby decided he wanted me to have my own, so he would be more comfy and we could also take the dog. My first ride was a sidecar rig, that was a blast and a great way for me to start (and there was no such thing as a Spyder a few years ago.) Now with the Spyder, with it's speed & handling capabilities, we are no longer as limited as to where we can go. So we go everywhere!!! (I do miss off-road, though...) And we still can take the dog :)

Riding together is the best! It is definately the main way we spend our spare time (and money :)) and we will never give it up. We may scale down our budget in other areas as the economy slows, but we always prioritize riding. And, being in AZ, there's about 10 months of awesome ride time! :2thumbs:

Gotta get her her own!!!

I stopped fast when i saw "wifes first ryde" then "ky" sounded like the beginning of a bad porno movie..hahahaha
any way 2 kids under her belt she is a beautiful lady ...you should be proud ...
my 1st exwife looks like death warmed over and my kids are all over 19 years old ....

That is in the plans. She has her permit already, she just hasn't ridden in quite a while. We hope to go to the old Wal-mart in town this week for some riding practice (big parking lot). After that I'm sure that I will be watching the kids while she goes spyder rydin'!:2thumbs:

I understand what you are saying, I guess I should have titled it a little differently. Thanks for the compliment and yes I am proud. But to be honest the kids we are raising are our grandkids. She has three grown sons. So I guess you could say I am married to one hot grandma. :2thumbs:

yes you are:2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs::bowdown:

Very cool! :2thumbs: My wife loves our Spyder, as well. Of the 1,100 miles clocked so far, she has been on the back of it around 800, I would say. And, like Scotty; no kids at home, either.

The Spyder is in for it's first service right now. I'll pick it up tomorrow night. And, we have some great riding planned for the weekend! :) Like she said, in the 23 years we have been together, this rates at the top as one of the coolest things we have ever done! Ever! To me; it's a dream! :cheers:

At this time, she just loves being on the back. I don't think she really wants one for herself. As a Christmas gift to each other, we are going to buy the AutoCom system for helmet to helmet communication.

And, I just ordered the Garmin Zumo 450 GPS. It will be here next week.
