After taking the Spyder out all day today, I came home and was gushing to my husband about how great it was.
1) I went on the highway myself, doing 80 at times, hit the dealer 35 miles away for a battery tender and to fix the glove compartment latch. I never would have gone out on two wheels alone, especially on a highway. With the Spyder, I didn't mind. I was able to take what looked like eight inches of papers to grade.
2) They are tearing up the main road by our house. The Spyder was fine. My bikes would have been much harder to handle with the waves in the road
3) I went food shopping. With the Spyder. Try that, Yamaha.
4) After food shopping, I stopped at a pizza place and put a small pizza box and a hero in the frunk. How would you do that on a sport bike?!? Plus the pounds of apples, bananas, blueberries, oranges, and who knows what else, from the store?!?
5) There was music the whole time. I'm sure I looked silly singing along, but it's okay.
6) Potholes, uneven roads, poor road conditions, and the like, were non-issues.
7) I didn't have to worry about parking so I could pull out straight. I can't back into a spot on two wheels, I'm not strong enough to move the bike.
8) There was someplace to store my helmet and gloves when I went into the store.
9) I'm sure I was more visible.
10) Putting gas in was a lot easier compared to my bikes.
11) I wasn't too worried riding the Spyder. I always think I'm taking too much of a chance on the Yamahas.
What do you love about your Spyder vs two wheels?
(Two wheels- well, they are sport bikes. Enough said. Loads of fun too, but a different kind of fun)
