Per the Operator's Guide, the break-in period for the 14 RT is 3000 miles...why so long? During the break-in period we are to
- Avoid full throttle acceleration
- Avoid prolonged riding
plus a couple of other things. I don't exactly understand what is meant by "avoid prolonged riding". Avoid prolonged riding seems to mean don't take any long trips, say like 8-10 hour rides in a day. Or, does "avoid prolonged riding" mean don't ride at a constant RPM for prolonged periods? I think (hope) riding for a prolonged time at a constant RPM is what should be avoided.
I know some 14 Spyder RT owners have taken long trips. So, what does "avoid prolonged riding" really mean?
