Well, this is difficult. But, from what I have seen here at Spyderlovers, my faves are:
Lamont, for obvious reasons. He was a Spyder lover before he was an ambassador, and is devoted to his fellow Spyder lovers. He is a steadfast Spyder supporter, and a Spyder lover supporter, which can sometimes cause conflict for him, I think. We all adore Lamont. As for his ambassadorship, his style is practical and lowkey. I don't think he is entirely comfortable with making videos, but does it anyway for all of us. We could never express enough gratitude for all Lamont has done for the Spyder community, and neither could BRP.
Mickey was a excellent choice. He seems to have plenty of time to travel on the Spyder, is enthusiastic and, unlike Lamont, very comfortable with video. He does not have Lamont's great knowledge of the machine, but for the general populace, he is an excellent advertisement.
My only exposure to any ambassador has been here at Spyderlovers; I don't look at the blogs much at all. So I don't really know what everyone else is doing.
As for Faran, her selection was obvious - an attractive woman with no Spyder experience, showing the world that anyone can ride and enjoy one. I'm not saying that she has no other attributes, but I feel that was one big reason that she was selected. Smart on BRP's part. Her only drawback is that due to family obligations, her involvement is less than some folks expected. But they have to understand that Faran represents the world at large; the vast majority of us have obligations to family and jobs that do not allow us to just ride anywhere at any time. People appreciate seeing someone like themselves. So I do think she was a good choice, despite her limited opportunities to get away.
And I agree that we are all ambassadors, officially recognized or not.
Now, I must find a way to escalate my campaign to be the Hybrid ambassador... wonder of they would make a hybrid RT for me, as I already have an RS?
