• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I see that last post in this group was fairly recent, but before that it's been a while? How many people still here? I'm in the Columbia area. I'm trying to retire (again) and looking to ryde more.

I've seen a link to the FB group, but I don't have FB, nor will I.

Hm, not many of us on here. I see a few Sypders running around here, but apparently they're not on the board. Probably FB, but I'm not going there.

"Who's Still Out There In South Carolina?"

Rule 62 - Updated rules to make passing bicycle riders safer - 26 April 2021

From 26 April, when drivers pass a bicycle rider, they must leave a space of at least 1 metre between your vehicle and the rider on roads with speed limits up to 60km/h.

If drivers are travelling on roads with speed limits over 60km/h, they must leave a bigger space of at least 1.5 metres between your vehicle and the bicycle rider.

Rule 62 in Alcoholics Anonymous: "Don't take yourself so damn seriously."

Errmm, yeah..... That's why I posted what I did, showing 'another' Rule 62 as a bit of a 'less serious' poke. ;)

Gotcha, figured I'd ask.

Seems like maybe the Midlands Chapter of the Spyder Ryders is gone, can't get a reply from anyone. Might have to try to join a different branch. I'm not looking for a "club" specifically, just a way to find others to ryde with.
