• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Whos NOT upgrading to 2014 ?

Keeping 2011 rt-s. 25,000 miles and counting

To upgrade the new one needs:

shaft drive

1800 cc's

metal flake red

1/2 a nanny. :doorag:

It may take a while for all or some of the above happening. I am glad that they went 1330 cc and added a cylinder and an extra gear. New colors every year is the norm, as it seems to be done in place of major upgrades.

I want to but no viper red-----

I would LOVE to trade my 2012 RTS-SE5 in for a 2014----but there is NO VIPER RED in this model year's line up, how they couldn't come up with a VIPER RED for 2014 is beyond logic. Are they not looking at sales and colors? Red is highly visiable, beautiful and goes along with our Red Pick up truck!

So---come on BRP---bring us a VIPER RED 2014 and we'll buy! I too am all for a SHAFT DRIVE as well---especially living in the country on a gravel road!

;)

ME

Since we have the other side reporting in I thought the obverse view should be heard. While I like a lot of what they did to the 2014 I will continue with my 2013 at least till 2015. I want to see what BRP does with both years and am hoping values recover from the current amount mine is worth. Other than a laser alignment, I have no major issues (yet) to deal with.

keeping my 12. Plenty good ride for us. Also, paid for. Gave up years ago trying to keep up with the Jones's.
I heard from a reliable source that shall not be named that Jones is not upgrading to a 2014 but keeping his 2012.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Well, I did part ways with my 2010 RTS, but, personally, I wouldn't consider a 2014. Given the history (2012 - 2013), I won't even look at one until 2016 - and then ONLY, if my Honda becomes too much to handle....JMHO
Not sure why you included 2012 in that statement. As far as I can tell, 2012 has been a great year. Yes, your lower right leg could get a little warm when stalled in traffic on a hot day but many motorcycles have that same problem (i.e. heat off the engine, thinking Harley-Davidson). But the 2013 problems were brought about by the not so bright idea to redirect heat from the rider towards the engine.

2010 RT-S SE5 Happy Happy Happy !

I am very happy with 2010 Rts , bought it with only 1000KM on unit. 2011 was first year I had it and this season just got accessories put on it and very happy with it.
I will not buy a new one for another couple of years . Have had no problems with my Spyder

I'm happy with my '13 RT-S SM5... Maybe should have hanged to the 2010 until the bigger engine came out... but I did what I did and I am keeping the '13 for a while... not going to loose money over one year!

I may wait until the 2018 10th Anniversary Edition or 2020 RT 10th Anniversary Edition....;)

I'm very happy with my 2013 RT-Ltd. Over 10,000 miles from April to October. Can't wait until the weather warms up and the snow disappears. Besides, I can't afford to upgrade anyway.

2014 RT Upgrade? No Way !

Keeping our '09 GS SM5 and '12 RT-S SM5 until BRP and users get the bugs worked out. Then I might think about it in a couple or three years.

Not upgrading

I'm not upgrading from my 2013 ST-S till maybe 2015 I want to make sure the new ST-S has no issues, till then I will ride this one.

Not Upgrading...

Not upgrading. I have a 2011 with 9,000 miles on it that's up for sale for what I still owe on it. I just don't have the time to ride it anymore.

Not ready

My 2013 ST-S will stay with me at least till 2015, for me to get a new machine BRP has to fix everything first, I just order to add the heat it grips for now on my ride, besides that maybe fog lights....now if the give me what I pay for my 2013 I would jump on the 14 today....

I would be a fool if I traded the only Spyder ever built that actually increases in value every year (08 PE). :coffee:

It was my dream machine ever since I first saw it at January 2012 motorcycle show. Although I managed to purchase it only in September 2013 I was absolutely blown away by my experience with it compared to a two-wheeler before that. I intend to remain loyal and am not planning to part with it.

:agree: and feel the same way. My only mods are floorboards and brake pedal which I made them my self exclusively.
