• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Which Foot Rest Mount????

I have the kewlmetal highway bracket with kuryakyn footpegs. With the kewlmetal bracket there is no drilling required. However, there is a bolt that goes from one side of the engine to the other that is removed and replaced with the one supplied. My dealer did the install.

I use them to stretch out every now and then when I get a cramp in my hip/hips. The position of the pegs are adjustable with the link supplied with the highway bracket. Since my foot was further away from the brake, I purchased the larger brake pedal from Tricled (a site supporting sponsor).

Thank you. Sounds like what I'm looking for. :ohyea: I read about that bolt too, so I guess I'll go look for that thread.

Spyder City Foot Boards

Another site sponsor is Spyder City. I installed their foot boards on my RS because I liked how they fit in with the design of the Syder. I found them to be comfortable and super strong. Not only did they give me another position for my feet, I felt I had more control in the twisties with my feet in the forward position. With experience, I learned to use my heel for braking rather than move my foot back to the pegs.

Installation was straight forward. I purchased the trimmed panels so I did not have to make the cuts myself during the installation.

Finally, regardless of which brand you decide to install, make sure you get the SpyderPops heat management kit to eliminate the heat on your right foot. I could ride with sandals (just tried it for a test) after installing the heat kit even with my feet forward on the SC foot boards.

Thank you for all the info and the link. That will help a lot. I'm going with pegs, not floorboards so it shouldn't be to bad of a job. I'll definately consider the heat kit too! Thanks.
