• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where's Scotty?

This too will pass!! It is great to see your sense of humor in all this...believe me, it will help with stress that can only make matters worse!!:gaah: Getting old is not fun - the ole body begans to play Benedict Arnold on you. But your young heart keeps ya pushin! Hugs to you and Nancy!!
:D You think the old part is not fun, wait until you get to my mileage! :yikes: Thanks for the hugs. Need all we can get lately. BTW, this is not humor...I am insane! nojoke

Scotty, I'm glad you're home and feeling some better. I hope you will continue to get better. I will be thinking about Nancy tomorrow and I know she will be fine. I think the spyderlovers have had and will continue to have you both in their prayers. Speedy recovery to you both!

Report

Hi gang. Just thought I would fill you in on where we stand. I'm home, of course, and they are weaning me back onto a little less restricted diet and introducing some of my old meds again. There are changes that I am going to have to learn to live with. I feel pretty good physically, although the sinus infection that started this whole mess is not leaving without a struggle. The pancreatic pain is gone! I will have another hospital stint coming up at U of M med center while they chase this farther. My doctors seem very concerned, despite how good I feel. :yikes:

Nancy has her new knee. She is in pain, but with the right pain meds was able to lift her leg in and out of bed by herself several times yesterday. More activity and therapy today, then she'll come home tomorrow. She has at least six weeks of PT ahead of her, but should be walking without the walker and driving within a couple of weeks, and maybe riding in as soon as a month more. We'll see how she progresses. She is nearly as tough as me. Putting up with me for 35 years seems to harden a woman! :D

We have both appreciated all the warmth and love that has come from everyone here. It has done a lot to keep us going. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Glad to hear that you and Nancy are doing well. I work ortho P.T. and I wish more of my patients were like Nancy and could move their legs in and out of bed first day post op.

Excellent news about Nancy!! If she is moving around that much so soon after surgery she is one tough cookie. Good for her!!

Hope your doctors sort out what's up with you Scotty. I don't think pancreatitis is anything to fool around with. Your doctors are concerned for good reason. Try and be a good boy and do what you're told!!!

glad to hear that you 2 are doing Okay :2thumbs: you be a good boy:lecturef_smilie: and BOTH of you do what the doc's tell you

Tell Nancy she is doing great!! You ain't so bad yourself. When you are in riding shape, we will definitely be making a trip your way. You may still get to sign the banner too. daddydarko and I are going to have to meet up before he leaves for Rolling Thunder and Battle Creek may be a good place for us to meet. That way I can just stop by and you don't have to worry about entertaining a whole crowd while you and Nancy are recuperating. I will say a prayer of healing for both of you.

Home At Last

Well, we finally landed at home. They paroled nancy this morning. She has some pain, but is doing OK. She'll probably be much better after she catches up on her sleep. When they take vitals every hour or two, and sneak vampires into your room in the middle of each night to suck your blood, you do not rest. Six weeks of PT ahead of the old girl, but I'm betting she'll be off the walker in a week or less. Being married to me for 35 years toughens a woman! :D

I am not in pain and am apparently out of immediate danger. There is still great concern. I head to University of Michigan soon to try to find out how much damage has been done, and possibly what the cause is. It may be related to an earlier problem and surgery. Still tired, nauseated, and short of breath, but I am able to care for Nancy, and that's all that counts.

Once again, thank you for all the kindness, prayers, and concern for both of us. This would have been much, much harder without you!
