• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where's Scotty?

Scotty,

So you did forget how to PLF eh!?

Now a hosiptal is no darn place to be getting better - hope you are home on riding ASAP.

Update & More Thanks!

Many more thanks! Feeling better, after a horrid night, which I will not describe due to the delicate nature of some of our viewers. ;) Passed the clear liquids test this morning and just tried soft foods for lunch. For the docs amongst us my enzymes came back down quickly, and my CRP is working down steadily, along with my WBC. I will have to endure any number of future tests to try to find out why, although previous, related problem is likely cause. They have me on the fast track now, and I seem to be gaining. Keep those prayers coming and I'll be home soon enough to bring Nancy back here for her new hinge next week. Gotta walk a few hall laps and see if this lunch holds. Keep those prayers coming, they've done wonders so far!

Scotty and Nancy i wish you two the very best and for a speedy recovery. you maybe down but by no means are you out. You are always a help here on spyderlovers and we all do thank you. ;)

Wishing you and Nancy a quick recovery and back to good health and ryding. Had to go 5 days without eating a couple of years ago. Really stunk! Get well you guys.

Update - Honey I'm Home!

Yep, it's me again. Turns out being a big pain in the backside, who talks until you submit, has some uses after all. They fed me three quick, progressively more solid meals today, and sent me on my way. The last meal was not even in the dietary departments lists, and they had to make it up. nojoke I do not believe I am average or this is an average occurance...hmmm? I do believe they were glad to see me go, although I was a model patient.

They certainly were smiling a;lmost as braoadly as me, as they walked me to the door. There still seems to be a lot they have to learn about me, and I will continue to be poked and prodded and given conflicting advice for a long while yet, until we work something out. I will reserve my judgement and further remarks for the outcome. I learned some things here this week, too....like starving a person can actually heal them under the right circumstances. Sounds medieval, doesn't it? The medical term is actually "NPO" which equates to "nothing by mouth", not even an ice chip or sip or water for days.

No it hasn't been fun but I got home at the very last opportunity before Nancy went in, so we will not have to share that hospital room after all. I'll try to continue to heal, between the doctor visits for us both, hospital stay for her, recovery for us both, PT for Nancy, and more hospitalization for me. I will try to catch up here and keep up, but please forgive my lapses if I do from time to time. Thank you all for your continued support and well wishes.

P.S. - Message on the phone when I got home, the dealership wants to discuss way the factory instructed them to do one of the warranty repairs on Nancy's Spyder. It is back in limbo until they hear from me. Sounds like trouble! Guess I'll add them to my already overloaded list. :D

It's a good thing you are out of the hospital because I was brining the banner and a camera to Battle Creek to get photos of you signing the banner in your hospital gown. I know the there are SpyderLovers that would have paid for that photo:2thumbs:

Only from the front, Deb... the front.

Sounds familiar . . .

Scotty, you make it sounds like you are an SE5 with a bad gear position sensor and BoneCrusher is your doc. I sure hope you are still under warranty!

Anyway, glad to hear you are out of the hospital and 'back on the road'.

Tom

acute pancreatitis

Ouch and ouch again.
I had that last year and lost about 70lbs (I was only 150 to start with). They starve ya and never even give you water.
The good news is......I am all back to "Normal" (as normal as I can be anyway). No changes required and a full and happy lifestyle. You sound like you are on top of it Scotty. STAY that way, get well soon and then we can all meet up and ryde... really soon

I refused to wear one, but my sweatpants and motorcycle T-shirts were a great hit on the 3rd floor. I even combed my hair before I walked the halls hourly with my IV. I can only hope they will be as well liked when I am in the mental ward. :D BTW, don't threaten things like that. I am not out of the woods yet, and am only home because they broke their necks to accomodate me due to Nancy's surgery tomorrow. They may try to get me back, and they may not be as friendly next time. They may have to ride very fast to catch me, though! :lecturef_smilie:<them me>:roflblack:

Hope you are out of the hospital for good! Try to behave.

Wishing Nancy all the best for tomorrow's surgery. I've had a friend go through knee replacements twice. It's not very much fun. But the end results will hopefully be worth it.

I'll be thinking of you both.

Good that you're home Scotty, you and Nancy are still on our prayer list. Take care and heal quick.

This too will pass!! It is great to see your sense of humor in all this...believe me, it will help with stress that can only make matters worse!!:gaah: Getting old is not fun - the ole body begans to play Benedict Arnold on you. But your young heart keeps ya pushin! Hugs to you and Nancy!!
