• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where to hook a fuse box to in a F3????

I am wondering what switched wire I could use to hook a fuse box to? Anyone know a good power wire to use that is not being used by something else?? I would need the colour combo and where it is. Or, does anyone have the wiring schematic that they could send me? I want to hook up a Shark stereo and a couple of other things and I want to use a fuse box instead of tapping into random wires.

Thanks,

Brian

I put my Shark amplifier in the frunk and used the fused (10 amp) accessory connection located behind the frunk liner. You will have to drill/cutout a small opening in the frunk liner to feed the wires through.Only potential drawback is power is only provided with the motor running.

Why not run directly to the battery? No risk then of interfering with the Canbus or VSS.

This is not a good idea when dealing with stuff that can drain the battery if accidently left on, if someone plays with the buttons when you are not around, like when you are at a hotel, or can have a constant power drain. I always put stuff like stereos to a switched power source.

I have a FZ-1 fuse block. It can be configured for either switched power or always-hot.

Anyone care to post a pic of the accessory wire.... Or identify it by color?
:doorag:

It is covered by black tape, with a label on it saying accessory.....not sure what color the wires are under the tape.
If you remove the bucket in the Frunk and look to the right above the battery you should find it.
