• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We are up in Northern Michigan stopping to see family and having a nice ride. Just Teresa, Me and Bandit (he has been on the back of her Spyder).

Once the clouds and rain from the recent mid atlantic storm blow past, the Mrs and I are heading down to our friends ( and :ani29: riders ) in southern md ( about an 1 1/2 ride ) and spending the night. The next day we take a two day ride with about 17 other :ani29:'s through historic southern md, then head back home on Sunday.

Weather looks likes it's gonna be perfect.

We had planned a 300 to 350 mile ride today from our home up through the Pocono mountains and head west on PA rte 6 to Mansfield and then back home. But the rain has hung around longer than expected. So am going to pull out the smoker hang around the house and head out on this same ride on Saturday. Forcast is for sunshine and low to mid 80's on Saturday.

Staying home on the 4th... Will take an early morning back-road ride Saturday, before it gets too hot. Gibson Park, a local boat-ramp, picnic, and camping area on the Suwannee River (Hamilton County side) is our half-way stop. Smooth, well maintained county roads, with curves. (destination ride for area motorcycle clubs) Wife's first Spyder ride, on our best motorcycle roads. (Florida's Dragon: 11 curves in 318 miles.)

My home county is Suwannee County, a rural North Florida county, bordered on three sides by the Suwannee River. A very nice area for back-road touring, but you do share the road with local fauna, domestic animals, and farm equipment. Hoofed animals can fall on pavement, be prepared to stop... farm equipment is often the same color as the last field worked. Sight-seeing speeds are appropriate on our scenic back-roads.

Out for sure..!!

but off the beaten path. We have great backroads where the festive overendulgers avoid. Sadly big fire is altering that road so new plan but will ryde..!!

We are having pretty glorious weather for the next 3 days or so. Mid to high 70's and sunny skies.

Traffic was on the move big time, last night. Have not been out yet today. We are going to stay within 50 miles of home. The good side, I have over a half dozen assorted, scenic rydes with twisties and mountains in that area. No traffic to speak of--just the scenery.

May jump to a hundred mile radius on Saturday (anticipating little heavy traffic that day).

Went to New Smyrna Beach, Flarda. My daughter, son in law and grandkids are over there for the week. Weather was chamber of commerce gorgeous. Spyder got a lot of attention on the beach.
