There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Where do you store your Cell phone??

Just purchased a new 2024 Spyder RT Limited. Love it so far but I have a concern about where you are supposed to store your cell phone.

I have already discovered that when storing it in the small compartment while it is plugged into the USB cable, my phone becomes extremely hot. I am concerned that this will be bad for the phone. I'm surprised that BRP designed storage for cell phones this way.

That being said, has anyone else found this problem and what have you done about it, or are you not concerned? Thanks

Same here, inside jacket pocket. I connect to the helmet now and then, but mostly it is great to leave it till the next stop to check for calls or sms.

Now that I have given up on getting CarPlay to work on my 2024 Spyder RT Sea to Sky, I'll be putting my phone in the top case plugged into the USB port there so it charges while I'm riding.

If I’m just out for a ride or running errands around town it’s in my inside jacket pocket. If I’m using it for navigation than I have it mounted in a RAM mount on my handle bar.

I use a RAM mount on the handle bars until it rains and then it goes in the glove box. For light rain I put a plastic cover over the phone on the mount. Yes ACP is a pain and very buggy!

TrackForm or TrackMount, depending on what phone you own. I use a combination of both to keep my phone secure and wirelessly charged. I also set it up for hands free usage through my helmet speakers.

I use a ram mount attached to slingmods dual power usb power dock with a quick grab phone holder. If I'm on the spyder the phone is in that position.

I don't find any overheating issues on my 22 RTL. There seems to be enough airflow into that space to prevent overheating while moving. If the bike is shut down and the phone left in there, then dissipating engine heat will surely heat up that confined space!

Glove box or jacket pocket.
I haven't found the glove box too hot as long as we are moving.
I don't connect the phone to USB when it's in the glove box. I do turn off WIFI to save battery.

I plug my phone into the USB outlet in the trunk. I like keeping it powered on because I use it for my navigation with my Carpuride (ACP). I usually won't take calls - but I am able to do so with my Sena unit.
