• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where did you get your "Handle"?

These are some pretty good names and reasons, keep them coming.

I wish I had a great story to tell, but don't.

On another forum I was guitarman.

On this forum I am akspyderman. Can you figure out why? :roflblack::roflblack: From AK, own a spyder or two...and, am a guy.

If you know my last name you will have it figured out... If you see my Spyder plate you will still have to know my last name to figure it out...:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

RE: License Plates: Check out http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?36731-Vanity-Plates&highlight=vanity+plates
I started that one 2/25/2012. So far, it has 20,475 looks and 243 posts. Might be good for you to start one and see what has been added.

Also started a Vanity Plates 2014 thread 1/13/2014. That one had 1812 looks and 35 replies. I got out of the vanity plate stuff so I am
"normal" now. :yikes: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...es-for-the-new-2014-s&highlight=vanity+plates

I am curious as to the inception of some of our "Screen Names" or "Handles" :chat:

Mine is rather simple, My name is Joe and i ride a RT which I consider a cruiser (others will argue this fact I know):shocked:

Thus my "handle" is Cruzr Joe ( The spelling is abbreviated because all they would let me put on the Lic. Plate was "CRUZR"):thumbup:

Whats the story behind yours.
:dontknow::dontknow:

Cruzr Joe

You should change your name to FORGETFUL JOE ..... >>>> http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?66278-Spyder-Handles-(Screen-Names)

Hidding in the open

My handle was chosen so that I could remember it.

J-The first initial in my first name
C-The first initial in my middle name
Gammack-My last name

These have served me well for over 60 years. I don't live my life in a way that I need to use a "Handle". If you want to ask me something please do. I want you to know who you are asking and I would like to think that most would tell me who is asking.

I have been a gun enthusiast for as long as I can remember ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425948486.522792.jpg as the years went by I enrolled in a Master gunsmith course, applied for my FFL and started repair work and building firearms. Friends called me DOC and then it became GunDoctor. It's my "preferred" nickname to be called by my friends

I'm 73, been riding for 61 years, been told there are times I look like an old tire. But....I've had this user name for around 20 years.

Trbayth is a name I came up with for a character in an online role-playing game called Phantasy Star Universe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantasy_Star_Universe in case you're interested.) The name was originally spelled Tr'bayth. I continued to use it for various forums but dropped the apostrophe; it's actually pronounced "tribayth" but most people just use "Trib"

I had been a caver since the mid 1970's. I was a team leader on the largest cave rescue team in the country at one time, when I could fit through 6 3/4 inches with my clothes on. I had 'mud in my blood' as it's said among cavers. I had to be weened off of caving I needed to be underground so much. I've seen things few people in the world have seen. Being a caver doesn't come up when upping your life insurance either.
The state of GA was unable to put more than six letter on a license plate. So, my nickname became CAVMAN. The 'E' is pronounced, it's just not there. Had that license plate for over 30 years. Finally the state figured out how to get more on a license plate. Besides, KB4QXI is had to pronounce?

MY GeoNick is AstroDiver.
