• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Motorcycle GPS (you get what you pay for)

Now first i want you to know that i consider myself to be a fairly intelligent guy, if you don't believe me just ask me, i will tell you that i am fairly intelligent :D

I thought that i would save some money and buy a Garmin Nuvi GPS for my Spyder, well i did buy it and saved a lot of money, well i bought it but apparently a car GPS and a Motorcycle GPS have different screens, my old GPS was real easy to see in the sunlight (it was a motorcycle GPS) my new one is almost glared out by the sun all the time. Moral of this story .... Go cheap and you get what you pay for.

Anybody interested in buying a (factory Rebuilt) Gamin Nuvi 50 LM? $65.00 with all the brackets and chargers that come with it???

Update .... GPS Sold ......

I use a Garmin Nuvi 40 in an Arkon gps case. The case is mounted on the SRT cupholder accessory bar which keep the gps close enough to view in sunlight. If I had an expensive gps I would have to take it off the bike when parking , which isn't convenient.

I think part of the reason I'm having a hard time viewing my gps in the sunlight may be due to the Arkon. That's not a smooth surface that you view through; it's actually kind of wavy, which creates my problem when the sun hits it. Like I said in a previous post, I have a 4 sided sunshade on the gps, which doesn't appear to help much. I think I'll take it out of the Arkon when it's not raining and see if I can have a better view of the gps screen in sunlight.
