• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where did you get your "Handle"?

Haha, mine was super creative. I changed from years on two wheels to three wheels, hence... :-)
It was only later I realized it sounded like something shooting related i.e., .223 ammo.

Back in my two wheel days my handle was given to me as "Spock" because I got into this discussion about the faster bike (mine was red, his was blue) and I used the Redshift doppler effect in my attempt to justify red being faster. There might have been alcohol involved as well. ;)

Earned my Nick Name "Vito" one night in the spring of 1968 on LZ Betty three klicks outside the ancient capital of Vietnam Quang Tri, in I Corps, close to the DMZ. There were four of us troops who hung out in a Conex Box after hours. One my buddies, Pat, was a virtual encyclopedia of movies. One night, while smoking and listening to tunes on AFVN radio, Pat christened with us all with Nick Names derived from the 1955 film about juvenile delinquents the Blackboard Jungle. Early in their careers, Jamie Farr, Vic Morrow, and Sidney Poitier were in this film. Glenn Ford starred.

I had two St. Bernards I took to work with me when I worked in the woods falling timber and skidded logs. They rode in the bed of my pickup and guarded all of our vehicles against the local irate Indians who thought we were trespassing on their land. To this day I don't know why they didn't like Indians. I guess they could sense out people who possessed ill intentions from friendly folks.
