There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you go to "notifications" at the top...your stored messages both "in box" and "sent box" should be visible unless you actually deleted them.
If they have been deleted by you, then they may not be retrievable. The suggestion about contacting Anthony is a good one. He does answer PM's directed at him.

OK, I just figured it out. Messages stored is the total of messages in the Inbox and Sent. The word stored for some reason just doesn't seem to fit the concept of messages contained in folders. Maybe it's the best way to note how many messages are collectively in the folders compared to the limit of 1000. Maybe the sentence should read something like, "You have a total of xxxx messages of 1000 allowed in all folders."

How old were the messages? If you remember about a year ago Anthony revamped the PM system to purge old messages and implemented the 1000 message limit. If you didn't download the messages before he made the purge they are truly gone for good. If they were less than a year old maybe they got wiped in the one or two system hiccups that have happened since.
