• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where can you find?

One of the members of our riding group has a new ride 2013 RTL SE-5. She is among those that are height challenged. While her legs do reach the ground when standing they do not reach the floorboards comfortably when driving. Thinking she could use some thicker rubber padding on top of the BRP Floor Boards. Anyone ever done this?

About 1.5 inches to 2.0 on each side

"While her legs do reach the ground when standing" That's good!

Have you guys tried spacers to find out just how much help she needs?

That would help in trying to figure out a way to accomplish a fix. tol

Unfortunatley; those new BRP floorboards are designed to piivot downward if brake pedal travel requirements warrant it. I don't honestly know if you can add a layer or two on top without monkeying up that imprtant safety feature...
Would she be better served with some high-rise riding boots maybe? It would seem to be realiatively easy to add some thickness torhe soles on boots... :dontknow:

How about checking with the saddle makers to see if they could make a lower profile saddle. At a very healthy 5'6" myself, I had a low profile saddle on a H/D and a Beemer at one time. Not as comfy, maybe, but I NEEDED to get my feet to the ground! Good luck!

that is a option at this point

The easiest "fix" for this problem is to have a pair of riding boots "re-soled" with thicker soles.

Saw a young woman with Kawasaki's ride-promotion team who had the same problem. She couldn't have been any taller than 4' 3"... I swear!

With her specially-made boots, with about 2" soles, she was able to ride and demonstrate all of the Kawasaki motorcycle models.

Thought is was a clever idea; and the added bonus was she was taller when she wasn't riding!

This option has to be less expensive and less hassle than modifying the machine...
