I have a cold check dipstick in the works (inspired by Scotty). I hope to have a prototype done as soon as i catch up from taking a vacation.

Waiting kind of patiently...

Isn't it ready, yet? :dontknow: . . . we've been waiting kind of patiently since yesterday! :lecturef_smilie:

I've been thinking about it while I finish up the jobs ahead of it. Does that count?

Now it's been over a week . . . you're sleeping at night, instead of staying up 24x7 :yikes: to get this done, aren't you . . . :lecturef_smilie:
I read somewhere that if you used a plastic stick like a swizzle and measured and marked 6.75 to 7.75 inches you could use it to measure oil cold. Is that true?
Also, I have a check engine light on. Spyder seems to run fine so am I in trouble or is it like a car where it means nothing and just needs to be reset?
I need it. I really, really do!I have a cold check dipstick in the works (inspired by Scotty). I hope to have a prototype done as soon as i catch up from taking a vacation.

Some kind of full, empty markers would be nice.Ok here is a rather quick prototype... needs a few adjustments and some testing but I think it will work great.

$$$$$$ cost of manufacture $$$$$$.Just a thought. If a cold dip stick reading was accurate then why would BRP not have implemented that? Most cars and other vehicles are cold dip stick.
Why did they implement a full temp dip stick?
There must be a reason?
