• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where are you from? Where do you live?

As the title states. I'm interested in how widespread the Spyder community is. Country, State, Town. Don't give me your address, unless you are serving dinner. Maybe a little line about why your area is so great.

What is so great in Tampa, FL- The beaches, weather, nature, sports, 365 days of riding.

Not so great- Traffic, bad drivers, and traffic. Did I mention the traffic.

Northern NY in the summer.Cooler weather. Near Brooksville ,Fl in the winter. Warmer weather. And yep, Tampa traffic sucks.

Northeast Ohio. What's great: no earthquakes or hurricanes, very few tornados. Pretty close to great riding in southern Ohio, WV, PA.
What's not-so-great: snow and ice in the winter.

Central Florida here. Same or worse with the Traffic and BAD Drivers! Every road is the Autobahn.

* Northwestern Minnesota 50 miles east of Fargo North Dakota.
* Our frigid winters keep the *riffraff* away.
* With only 5 to 6 months of riding weather, we have plenty of time during winter to service our machines.

Central NJ (about 25 mins west of Newark Airport).
Like: reasonable distance from everything, lots of greenery, nice riding roads
Dislike: taxes, taxes, taxes.

Rockford in North Central Illinois now, but I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. What is great about where I am: its not Chicago, low cost of living, less than 5 minutes from my home in the NE part of Rockford and I am on quiet country roads and then my favorite route along the Rock River to Dixon, IL.

Darlington Wisconsin, l love living here. It's a small friendly town, the population is 2,450 people, and the picture is of the main street.

Just north of Daytona Beach.
Like: close to some good riding if I get the chance. Close enough to son and grand kids, but not close enough either of us are going to drop in without a call first. LOL
Lately the heat has been killer.

Northern Vermont.

The weather can be rainy, sunny, hazy, hot, humid, cool, taking fall foliage rides (seeing the changing of the leaves). Not too far from the Canadian Border, plenty of sight seeing, restaurants, a lot of things to do, a lot of breweries. Great Spyder riding in the state. Mountains, Shopping, jobs, temperatures fluctuate.

Bad, Short winters (I am a snowmobiler) Icy roads, sometimes a lot of snow (Nor-Easters), cold, & high taxes, flooding, Expensive.

Bossier LoUiSiAna (NW side of the State) where my family was (unfortunately, it's shrinking lately). Bi-polar weather/drivers & a crazy mix of roads (mostly bad). The food is a mix of food from all around. Any direction is good for out of town lunch runs (trips, hopefully no “runs”) and there's public lakes & other bodies of water for scenic views & fishing. Various other stuff depends on you.

SAY WHAT YOU WILL ABOUT THE SOUTH

BUT NO ONE RETIRES

AND MOVES UP NORTH!

Lebanon, TN, which is middle Tennessee, a quick few miles to the Kentucky border. What's great, small town, mild weather, and lots of back roads to ride. Where am I from originally, Southern California, Ventura is where I lived for 50 years.

Greetings, Neighbor!
I grew up in the Covina/West Covina area, escaped to Indiana in 1991, and now live near Cookeville, TN. 😄

Sherwood Park, Alberta. Great riding year round - Spyder, May to October; and Skidoo, December to late March.

Much less of everything that you see on the news. I do not intend to move South for retirement, I will stay where I am at. ;)
