• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Where are the safe places to jack up a 14 RT?

I read the post about jacking up the Spyder to install the heavier swaybar, but where are the safe places to jack up the Spyder with a hydraulic floor jack, say if one only wants to raise the rear end to get the rear wheel off the ground. Is it safe to put jack stands under the A frame? and if not there then where to put the jack stands, I dont get under a 1K lb bike without jack stands. I noticed from another post that a motorcyclelift was used under the center of the Spyder, but I didnt see any jack stands. Seems like it would be easier to slide a hydraulic floor jack under the front somewhere if one was to change one tire or both tires at the same time. I have a motorcycle lift and at times it would be handy, if used from the front, how far toward the rear does it need to be slid under the Spyder to get a good solid point for lifting?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Jack points

Look underneath, you will see cross braces aft of the skid plate. Raise the front from there. Put in jack stands. Remove Jack.

Be careful of the center frame member. You will notice a main frame channel iron with flat plate tacted to it (at least on the 14 RT) Someone put a nice bulge in that flat plate on mine. Why is beyond me. Try using a small block to spread the load in that area.
