• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When I can't trust my dealer . . .

which is more than not, I come here to SL. I am at a complete loss as to what I have and what I can do. Have a 2016 F3 Limited SS. I complained to dealer that I thought my ride comfort was not optimized for touring. Suspension feels VERY tight and can't handle a bump for spit! Reading here in the past I "thought" my :spyder2: has a rear adjustable AIR SHOCK as standard. I asked if my bike, while having other farkles installed, could be adjusted for a more comfortable ride. Their reply was "The RT's have the adjustable air shock. There isn't much they can do w/ the F3 LTD.

Besides telling me to find another dealer to go to, is there or is there not, adjustments that I can make to attempt a smoother comfortable ride? I am not an aggressive rider so comfort is my first concern. Thank you for any help you can supply. :gaah:

Always good to have a second opinion , second dealer:thumbup: My local dealer sux quite pitifully & I'm quite happy to visit other dealers even if out of state. Only other thing you can try is make a case with BRP directly:dontknow::helpsmilie::helpsmilie: But the response time can be delayed while they investigate. Have you called PITTBULL , Just for verbal help?:2thumbs:

i was just on youtubl, it said that the f3t and limited have a rear adjustable shock, the adjustment is under the passenger seat

Take it up to Arctic Adventures in Rosendale NY, just north of New Paltz. Great dealer and service dept. You won't be sorry.

According to the F3 Ltd Operator's Guide, pg 51, your Spyder has a manually adjustable rear suspension that is accessable under the seat. There is also a decal listing the minimum and maximum pressure under the seat. The 2016 accessory catalog unfortunately does not list an add-on automatically adjustable air bag.

Agree...

The first ones did not have any adjustments but they later offered an updated shock. :agree: check your manual and maybe another dealer....

Maybe your purchased the wrong Spyder for Touring

This reminds me of people purchasing the RS and trying to turn it into an RT:roflblack:

It's manually adjustable and it's under the passenger seat. Though it's more of a helper bag, cause you still retain the coil over shock as well. That's prolly why the dealer doesn't realize it cause you can upgrade the normal shock with a fox one.

Yes, it is an air bag that is adjustable with a coil and shock, it is not an air shock.
it sure can be confusing. I asked the dealer if he could fit it to the 2015 F3S and he said no way, your better off with a high quality shock and a coil that is made for your weight.
So that is what I was told.
hope that was helpful

I did that back in 08 and 09--before the RT came out in 2010. It looked good, but did not ride like the RT.
