Here are some pictures of what I have done to carry on my wheelchairs and more...

The floorboard are from from SFB Racing (http://www.sfbracing.net/)
To avoid that my foot gets under the brake pedal, I have attached at the underside a floorboard from rackiton.com
I'm not spastic, so they don't need a bigger modification to keep my feet in place when I ride



The brake kit from ISCI is just awesome! (http://www.industrialspecialty.com).
I have also the Helibars risers (http://www.helibars.com/products-by-bike/can-am)



The carrier for my non foldable wheelchair made by Jimmy from Mels Monster Garage is a nice piece of work. He made it, and he hadn't a similar wheelchair available!. Unfortunately Jimmy went out of business



Sometimes we take our little dog on the Spyder and it can be an advantage to could choice the wheelchair I will take with me. It's also made by Jimmy.





The left floorboard don't needs to have an additional plate at the underside.






The Corbin seat allow that I can be seated when I'm filling up gasoline :2thumbs:





With the non foldable wheelchair at the back side

I also have an electrical parking brake, but it work very slow.
Arthur from Mexico has sent a parking lever that it's very easy to mount and use. I will take it in use again when the electrical get some damage (I'm sure that is going to happen).

Here is another solution to filling up gas. It was made by skilled mechanics at the dealer where I bought the Spyder. (they have made ​​a good effort to get the bike legally on the roads with all modifications)

Pancho. Nice clean mods! I have started to re do all my wheelchair mods over again and wonder, did you or someone you know make those floorboards? Very cool stops and heel block:thumbup: I used to take my dog in my sidecar but don't think he'll fit in anything I make for the Spyder. Great job and as you are in Norway, thank god summer's coming:thumbup:

Hey Setho. Did you reposition your feet further forward and perhaps lower too? If yes please share the benefits. Mine are in same position as original pegs and my legs can't possibly flap in wind...

you can't feel your legs and they don't flop around when you are riding? Mine do I put a 1 inch piece of velco round them, if I forget it the flop around and would eventually pull my feet off my isci floorboards with edges that do put my legs lower and down.

It's possible that your legs flap around because you look very limber? Flaccid and loose in that video. I have crazy spasms and have to stretch a lot every day to make my body limber.
Dude, I don't like to hear you're on your third motor!!! Is it the drag racing or what??
I'm working with a seat guy at the moment as that is my only area of discomfort. I've used airhawks and gel pads on my sidecar rigs but I find anything that sits me even taller makes me ache a lot.
You've done a hell of a lot of riding and been all over, I'm doing a few west coast rides this summer headed north, setting up for tent camping 1-2 nights out of every 3.
I'm getting married Aug 20 and then away for 2 weeks honeymoon otherwise I'd be up to Bonneville to watch speed week and revel in the atmosphere. Next year! If you get out Southern California way let me know.

well if you legs stay that is great but I have found that it is essential to have the velcoed to the bike and the airhawk as to replace the foam so you sit at the same height or you do run into the problem you speak of.

the pistons melted twice and the main pulley had to be replaced once which is a engine tear down. the pistons are from running it at wide open all the time, something the brp testers did not do for 20k in miles I guess, give me some forged pistons and this would not happen. the pullley was from the tension being set too high, a owners forum find and a eventual brp recall and fix.

Sorry for the delays to answer you, the reason is just that the days are too short

Roller: I have also tries some times with different solutions. It is all other than easy to find the right adapt without "destroying" the back even more, and even more something that can also be easy. I guess that I will continue the hunting .
In the meantime I'm happy to have two solutions that make possible to take a passenger, the dog or both at the same time...

What I have done to keep the feet inside is that I have used some bolts like these at the picture. They are working perfect!. The adapting of those floorboards could be easy because I don't have spasms and the legs are also very flaccid.






SethO: I had that problem with others selfmade floorboard. I used a Velcro belt to keep my feet at the floorboard, but my legs could notice the wind very well. Your method is easer and safer, also in case crash

These SFB floorboards I'm using now with the bolts, helps a lot, the feet are placed lower and forward. These and with some shoes that supports the ankles well, does that the wind and my legs is not a problem anymore. Actually the Corbin seat also make a more stable seating.
