• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wheel Chocks

Cruising RT

New member
I'm looking for suggestions in purchasing wheel chocks for my enclosed trailer to secure my RT when transporting. Can anyone help?

I've trailered an RT over 10,000 miles in my covered trailer, and never used chocks. You really don't need them. I use a long strap for the front wheels, with old towels to keep the strap from chafing, and one for the back wheel, with an old towel. That's a solid 4 point pattern, and the bike never moved - even on rough roads.

chocks for RT in enclosed trailer

I use spyder clamps. expensive but worth it. I have a 7x12 v-nose and I don't have to mess with straps and hooking my wheels and pulling them out of alignment. They make it fast to load and unload spyder. They're so great that if I won the lottery I'd buy them for you  :roflblack:

Sure hope you hit the lottery!!:2thumbs: I've looked at Super Clamp, nice just can't justify that much for a once or twice a year haul. Usually ride bike everywhere. Just thought if I had to leave bike at dealership for service I could load bike on my enclosed trailer, drop bike off for service and head back home. Thanks for your suggestion!

:agree:......I AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT THE Super Clamp............I bought a heavy duty Rachet Strap with cleats on it for $20 put it over the rear tire ( 2012 RT ) secured the strap front and rear to the deck......Drove over 3000 miles .......had a collision ...tore the Hitch and trailer off the back of my truck ....annnnnnnnnnnnd the SPyder never moved .................and that for $ 20...................go figure.............................and it takes about 5 min once the Spyder is on the trailer.........Mike

Moved my spyder across the country, Pa to Nv in the back of a Penske truck with 3 Harbor Freight tie down straps. 1 through the rear wheel and 1 through each front wheel. Screwed each end of the straps to the floor with lag screws and it never moved.

Been packing HD two wheelers fo years

Just brought the Spyder to Fla
First time tying it down
Read all I could
Fretted over it--
In the end tied all three wheels down- used micro fibre towells to prevent scuffs
Easy compared to two wheels
No problems
