• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wheel Bearing Noise ??

I have a 2010 Canam Rt with approx. 13,000 miles and I have been hearing a rotating chinking sound lately. Is it a wheel bearing? I will try to load a video. It appears the video did not go if someone sends a pm with your email, I can send it that way. Thanks again.

Most Spyders do have a CLICKING sound from front brakes....my 2010 RT has had that for over 20,000 mi....Check front wheels for excessive play, Just to be on safe side....

This is coming from the rear wheel. I jacked it up, put in neutral and ran it hearing clunking/clicking noise. Front wheels were checked, but o.k. it is rrea wheel, all is tight.

Certainly worth checking into. If you run a bad bearing, you run the chance of damage in the hub, which involves more parts replacement ($$). There are three bearing back there, two for the wheel and one for the belt sprocket. There are also a couple of seals and some o-rings.

Little checking..!!

you could raise the rear wheel push the pads back so the wheel spins free and see if the noise continues. Check your belt tension and tensioner if you have one. If noise is still present you may have to pull the rear wheel and check the bearings. :gaah:
