• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wheel bearing/Axel???

OK, it's not my Spyder's wheel bearing or axel that has crapped out. It's mine! Due to go in to Boston to get my right hip replaced next week. :yikes: This is by far the biggest modification I have done to my body. nojoke

Unfortunate thing is that I can't return to stock afterwards if it doesn't work out.:gaah: Am really hoping the manufacturer used good components and that the mechanic who does the install is on his game that day.

Hopefully, I will be up and running even better than before in no time flat!! Surgery is on Friday October 29th. I'll keep you posted on the down time. :doorag: I should only be in the shop a few days.

I know my fellow SpyderLovers will wish me well because hopefully my new mod will have me on the road next season burning up the roads!!!:ohyea:

I'm a bit nervous. But I suppose that's natural when changing the specs of a machine so drastically. Hopefully, it will all work out!!!

Good luck. I'm sure you'll do fine. Listen to the Doc and your PT.

I some times work with the ortho class (after hip/knee surgery) and find it amazing how well some do first day post op.

Hope the part is in stock and not back-ordered !:roflblack::roflblack:

Hope it works out well for you ,good-luck.

Good luck. Listen to your Dr. and PT and everything will be OK. I broke rt hip 10 yrs ago and I am Ok and back to watersports and everything before I broke it.

What a fantastic way to describe the modification! Being nervous is natural. Just go with a positive attitude. With all the new technology we have today, this will be a piece of cake. Like it's been said, follow your doctor's and PT's orders to the "T". Too many people get to doing things way too soon and regret it. Doing it a second time to repair a tear is no fun and from what I have heard, not that successful.
And, think about it...you will be in a nice warm house when it's freezing cold outside!!!

Nothing to worry about ,
The Doctors have that procedure down to a science.
They're so good at it that they can do it while you Wait.:D

Seriously though good luck, and best wishers.

Not to worry!! I'm getting a minimally invasive, tissue preserving, computer assisted surgery and there are NO movement precautions afterwards!!!! I am doing a bunch of things to make it easier on me when I come home. But I can move and bear weight as tolerated right from the get go!

Good for you! Nothing like a few high dollar titanium mods to make you feel like a kid again. Well, after recovery and PT, that is. My wife and I got new knees last year, and my cousin got a new hip two years ago and is having the other one done this month. We are all still riding.

:pray::pray::pray:

Scotty, I'll be wishing your cousin the best of luck in his/her surgery too! Technology is a wonderful thing!!!

I've watched a few total hip replacement surgeries and some how minimally invasive never came to mind. Of course I haven't seen a hip resurfacing yet.

For those interested:

It's animated so no gory details. I am facinated by all this. Some might not be.
