• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's the meaning of Gold Stars on some threads?

If you look up just above the Top Right Corner of the first post displayed in this thread (ie. the one you used to start this thread) you'll see a tag labelled 'Rate This Thread' - click on that tag, and I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to work out what the Gold Stars are for. :ohyea: IIRC, the Rating displayed on the index pages against some threads is an average of all the Ratings made by individual posters.

BTW, each individual entry on the Forum that any user makes is called 'a post'; while a string of related 'posts' combine together in order to form 'a thread' - that is, the discussion that you can/should follow. ;) You put up a post asking about the Gold Stars that appear against some threads in the index pages; I replied, putting up my own post in response to yours, so together, this (potentially growing) collection of posts is now a thread.
