• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's the difference between F3 Ltd & F3-T? Anyone switched fm RT?

I'm looking at going from a 2019 F3S to a new(er) F3L or F3T next year. Leaning to the T as I have a Lamonster Packrack/top case to install from my F3S. Don't need weak heated grips or rear speakers. Being a 100% solo rider, I can add the air to the rear shock. I can also transfer a bunch of add ons from my S to the T. If a nice deal comes along for a LTD, I might be convinced :)
You will find that the bags that you currently have on your F3S are larger than the bags on the F3T. I have seen some great deals lately. There was a 2018 F3L on marketplace for $17k.

Yup ... No helmets in the F3T/L side bags. Even the top case looks smaller than I remember, but then again, I have a 80L aluminum case on my Packrack :) . Just looked at some new ones today. That damn monolith black RTL looks really really nice :( :)

Wow, 80L! You could dice up a body and fit it in that thing. My 54L case is as big as I want to go. It is convenient enough that I can take it off with the turn of a key and take it into the hotel room. What I like the most is that I can transfer it right over to my BMW K1600B

Just finding this thread as we recently went from our much loved 2013 RT Limited of 9 years to a 2021 F3 Limited. For my long legged 6'0" arthritic frame the F3 is more comfortable. We did add boards and pegs and a Mustang seat to Evil '13 and that helped to improve it much. The stock seat and boards are nice on the F#. A sheepskin cover on the seat really helps too. I am going to put a drivers back rest on Nugget and move the boards forward eventually. But so far, sitting in is nice. My wife likes it but thinks the RT was a tad better for her. However, she likes sitting up higher and looking over me now.

I haven't looked into it, but is the top case easily removable and replaced with the cover like on the 2020+ RT?

Blacklightning,

OK. You can remove the top case and you can add a cover in place of it(like the 2020+ RT models). If you remove the top case it is more involved because you have to disconnect the ground strap, radio cable, power harness, and any other cables, plus you have to remove the passenger back rest.
Inside the trunk there is a large handle that you have to unlock, before you remove the top case.

Then you have to put the cover on in place of the rear trunk.

Deanna
