I've known this sled since new, so I know the history.

2003 Polaris edge 550 fan 2up touring. Electric start, electronic reverse. And 34 miles... Yep. You read that correctly. 34.

Runs and operates like new, and looks like it just came off the showroom floor.

Don't know but would start by checking the usual places....local sales, trade magazines, kelly blue book types and see what they go for in your area. I did work with polaris quads and watercraft but we have little call for those down here....:thumbup:

Being a two up and the old age makes a tough sale.... As a buyer $2800.00 max (Personally I would only offer 2500) . Seller should ask a little more. Yes the mileage is low, but I a would rather have higher mileage and less age. Sitting unused isn't necessarally a good thing...…..

The owner had this pick up every couple of years by the dealership to service it.

I agree, liquid is more popular, but as a ice fishing sled, fan cooled can't be beat. Don't need snow to keep it cool. Just enough to keep the slides from melting.

Yeah, my offer would be 2500. The fanner is good for low snow conditions, but lousy for temps in the 30's. Two up is a tough sell unless you find a couple that just wants to putt around when it's nice and cold. Here in WI it would be tough to GIVE away right now......no snow....

I'd say you might get $2000 out of it but I doubt more than that. I bought an 05 cat 370 fan last year in perfect condition with 250 miles for $2K. Most people want the sleds with the new style seating position. Older fan sleds are primarily used for kids or ice fishing. Those types of buyers are only willing to pay so much. I wouldn't go any lower than $1200. My guess is you will get a lot of offers for $1400-$1500.

If I got $1500, I'd more than double my money. Thing is I'm seeing sleds of the same yr with 4k miles selling for $1500.

I think I could get $2200-2500.

I'm gonna trot it past the Missus, and see what she has to say about it. :thumbup:
I hate to say this; but you'd be hard-pressed to get 2 grand out of it. The worst thing going for this sled: the lack of miles. nojoke
When they just sit: stuff isn't getting lubricated as it should. I'd be cautious about what's going on inside the chaincase, and the rear axle bearings will also have to be viewed with deep suspicion.
Oh! there's not a thing wrong with fan-cooled sleds: I rode them for over 35 years; before going to a "waterburner".
And that one would overheat in low-speed packed-trail conditions! :gaah:


But it sure is a Beauty, and even the Color is perfect!

Bob, I would agree if it sat for all those yrs without being serviced. Every grease fitting has been hit every year b4 being moved to the back of the barn. Cylinders fogged. Each year in November, I would move it to near the door, run the sled a few minutes with the track raised. I bet a few of the 34 miles were from me getting it ready for winter, and putting it away for the summer.

In Minnesota - $800 - $1000.00 Lots of those around because of the bad winters in places.
Some years are good, some aren't. Good luck - looks like a great clean sled!
