After I posted my last reply (see above) it did not show up, when I came back a couple hours later it was here, but I had to log in again. On another note, it has been posted on Facebook that the problems are known, and being worked on.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

PM's seem to be wonky still. Typing input is still wonky even here. I would say not fixed yet.

You post but what you type never appears - solved by editing and copy/paste PLUS adding reason for editing.
Also noticed that "What's New" isn't right. I posted twice successfully - one in response to another new post - and neither shows up in "What's New."

If you're having issues staying logged in, delete all cookies related to spyderlovers.com domain in your browser.
There where multiple updates, the updates wouldnt of happened later in the day, it was intended to happen early in the morning, but due to a few server related issues, the forums got upgraded later in the day.
As far as looks, the site style/theme didnt change.
As for posts not showing, it was probably because you got logged out.
The site has a new search program running, so i had to make a few changes today.
Whats New & searching is working properly now, also, search limits have been changed & searching results will be much faster, you can now search for 3 letter words, but keep in mind, that may make threads/posts show up that you dont want if you use an * at the end or beginning.

I like the new changes. Easier to reply to threads. Now I’m hoping adding pics got easier. That’s the one problem I sometimes have w this site. Pic posting is/was weird for me, while on my iPad. I mainly use iPad for this site, notPC. I need to add some pics anyway, maybe I’ll try later.

Hey, no fair!! Removing your blank posts isn't playing nice Anthony!! I was using them to try to see if I could use the various quote or edit tools to see any content, but you took them away! :gaah:
Btw, selecting Reply to Thread or Quick Reply doesn't seem to give consistent results; sometimes hitting reply defaults to quick, sometimes it accesses the full reply screen; & sometimes quick will grab the tagged for quote posts (or seem to try, but they were blank!) other times it ignores the tags entirely & just gives you the blank quick entry screen?!! Something's still not quite right in there......

This one is from hitting '+Reply to Thread' but it's only given me the Quick Reply option.... but it has shown the tagged post as a Quote.
Ps: And posting the reply with Quote hasn't removed the 'tag for quote' thing like it should - so it'd keep quoting that post (if I let it!)
