• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Whatever you do...don't run

Doesn't appear to be about running from the police. The arresting officer is on criminal trial right now (the shooting was last year), charged with felonious assault with a gun specification. The rider is paralyzed from the waist down. According to the article in the Toledo Blade, the time from the officer exiting his vehicle to the shot was three seconds. The rider claims he didn't hear the police siren until he stopped at the stop sign (the second stop in the video clip) because his exhaust was too loud. The officer apparently followed the two bikes for a while before deciding to stop them. You can read the article here.

Unfortunately, because he's a 'cop', he'll get protective custody.....He deserves to be stuck in general population, he'd get what he deserves there........

Yeah but at least 11 yrs of his life will be spent in a cell and when he gets out who knows, maybe someone will roust him up a little bit.

Nice to see some justice......Too many cops seem to think that they're above the law because they enforce the law.....

One can only hope his next 10 years are sheer misery......

:dontknow:
Did you ever know a Cop to give another Cop a ticket? Or for that matter give a ticket to another cop's Wife, Girlfriends or any get out of jail card holder. Most Cop's have a thing going,It's us against them.[civilians]

YAY! Now I hope they go after the cop who punched that lady, and I also hope they go after the cop that killed one of our fellow employees when he hit him head on while he rode his bike.

Not all cops are bad but these are the type who shouldn't have this type of job. But I'd prefer to steer clear of ALL cops.

The lady?? do you mean the 17 year old that was J walkin ?

I hope the cop rots in jail.

100% absolutely agree. Total disregard for human life. Protect and serve my butt. That is an idiot with power going to his head and to much emotion that is tough to control basic self controls.

Frankly I saw ZERO reason for even a weapon to be drawn in the clip we have been offered to view at this point. To me it looked like the biker was trying to catch the other rider... Even came to a stop at a stop sign no less!! Only to have an overactive emotional officer go to far.

The sad thing is the end result. No human should become disabled like this.

My father was a CHiP for quite a while. That has exposed me to more than the average citizen. My wife and I do have a CW license. In our annual training (Actual real three day course) this type of emotional situation is one of the things they train us on (Plastic guns of course).

What's to say that the officer did not make a mistake and failed to keep his safety on (As many are trained to do, by a trigger lock or cocking of the pistol) and was locked and loaded... Hit that 2.5lb trigger as he was attempting to get out of the car (Remember if weapon is Drawn they are aiming at the target) and accidentally shot this guy.

We have to remember there is no hole in the windshield for this officer to shoot through.

His second mistake was following through with his "Emotion" towards the victim. And yes... Sadly in this situation the Biker is the victim...

We will pray for him and his family...

11yrs

looks like we all are dangeres people they shoot first then drop your bike againe he shoiuld be in jail for life he didnt here him and he didn't nead his gun out at all.:chat:

Don't know how old she was but I saw the video. He really punched her good in the face!

I know there are "pedestrian laws" and he thought he was doing the right thing but like I said to you, if we got rid of most of the stupid laws we have, this stuff wouldn't happen. To me if you're gonna jaywalk, be prepared to get hit by a car - end of story. We don't need babysitters telling us where to cross the street. You walk, you get hit, your problem. There are bigger fish to fry.

You said it - he went w/ his emotions and NOT his training.

His fault TOTALLY. I could never be a cop. I act on emotion - many of us do. He was totally in the wrong and I'm glad he's paying for it and will the rest of his life knowing he killed another human being and it wasn't in self defense or anything like that.

I live in a little town in PA. My father always said I will tell you how dumb the cops in town are. This is about 50 years ago. He said that one time a horse died on Koschicko street. They didn't know how to spell the street so they drug the horse over to Walnut ST.:2thumbs:

It saddens me to see more anti-law enforcement comments than I'd like. The VAST MAJORITY of LE officers do, in fact, care about the people they are sworn to protect. The crap they put up with on almost a daily basis is appalling, yet most maintain their cool.

As in any other walk of life, there are bad apples. Unfortunately, in LE those bad apples are dangerous and lead to the entire community being tarred by that brush.

What one rarely sees in cases like this is the aftermath...what action was taken against the offending officer. It certainly doesn't excuse p-poor behavior but, believe me, the police don't like these offenders anymore than the public does.
