• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what would you do

A quick Google:
Cause of the Crusades
The reason and cause of the crusades was a war between Christians and Moslems which centered around the city of Jerusalem and the Holy places of Palestine. The City of Jerusalem held a Holy significance to the Christian religion. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem commemorated the hill of crucifixion and the tomb of Christ's burial. Pilgrims throughout the Middle Ages made sacred pilgrimages to the Holy city of Jerusalem and the church. Although the city of Jerusalem was held by the Saracens the Christian pilgrims had been granted safe passage to visit the Holy city. In 1065 Jerusalem was taken by the Turks, who came from the kingdom of ancient Persia. 3000 Christians were massacred and the remaining Christians were treated so badly that throughout Christendom people were stirred to fight in crusades. These actions aroused a storm of indignation throughout Europe and awakened the desire to rescue the Holy Land from the grasp of the "infidel."

Seems eerily familiar

What would I do?

Great question..... the answer requires alot of thought....... I've have been very fortunate and have traveled to all parts of the world including the middle east ..... I have met a lot of wonderful people and some not so nice, but these people do not deserve mercy at all..... so to answer the question, what would I do? I honestly do not know.... the descision to act cannot be one that is made solely on emotions... it is easy for us to say bomb them, kill them all, but we must remember there are innocent people there too, people whom are afraid and are living in fear for thier lives. we are in a great country. we have problems sure but we are free to live and worship who we want without fear.... Diplomatically I feel that there is nothing we can do.... we must act.... but we must act wisely, there has been to many live lost already.... cut the head off the snake how we do it is the question.

Marie Harf, a spokeswoman for the U.S. State Department, said America can’t win against the Islamic State “by killing them” and ought instead to focus on addressing what she claimed was the root problem — their poor economy — and help them get jobs.
“We’re killing a lot of them, and we’re going to keep killing more of them,” she said during a televised segment on “Hardball” with Chris Matthews. “So are the Egyptians, so are the Jordanians. They’re in this fight with us. But we cannot win this war by killing them. We cannot kill our way out of this war. We need in the medium to longer term to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s a lack of opportunity for jobs, whether …”
Mr. Matthews then cut her off and said: “We’re not going to be able to stop that in our lifetime or 50 lifetimes. There’s always going to be poor people. There’s always going to be poor Muslims, and as long as there are poor Muslims, the trumpet’s blowing and they’ll join. We can’t stop that, can we?”
Ms. Harf dug in and insisted improving the economic opportunities for the terrorist group is the key to turning back their terror, The Right Scoop reported.
“We can work with countries around the world to help improve their governance,” she said. “We can help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people.”

I don't believe these people want to work, its easier to walk around with a rifle and kill than it is to go to a job and work every day

I refuse to watch any of their videos. They are one sick bunch. Hopefully they are going to upset enough countries that there will be huge unilateral attacks against them until the job is done.

virtually all wars through history were over someones religion & someones god. if people keep their
gods to themselves and don't force it on others then we could stop a lot of wars. if churches,
mosques & temples had to pay taxes they might not have money for weapons. I personally have no
problem with thor, zeus, odin, crom, bel, set and a few others but please don't kill anyone in their
name without written permission from their specific god!!

:agree: In fact...
